FEMALE DOCTORS

Dr Betty Patapis MBBS FRACGP

Dr Patapis has been a General Practitioner in the Northern Beaches for over 20 years.
While enjoying all aspects of general practice she has an interest in Women’s and Children’s health.
Dr Patapis obtained her medical degree Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of New South Wales. Her internship and residency were completed at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney Hospital, Bankstown Hospital and Wagga Base Hospital.
Dr Patapis became a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1997.
Outside of work Dr Patapis enjoys cooking, swimming, design and travel.

Dr Elaine Caplan MBBS

Dr Caplan has been a General Practitioner for over 30 years and has been treating patients of the Northern Beaches for over 15 years.
Dr Caplan practices comprehensive medicine and enjoys all aspects of general medicine.
Dr Caplan obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery from Sydney University.
When not at work she enjoys travelling and philosophy.

Dr Christel Romano MBBS

Dr Romano has been a General Practitioner treating patients for over 20 years in the Northern Beaches.
Dr Romano has an interest in Women’s and Children’s Health, Nutritional Health and Pyrroles Disorder.
Dr Romano graduated from NSW University with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery in 1992.
Dr Romano became a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1998.
Outside of work she enjoys keeping fit, eating well and practicing what she preaches.

Dr Lakshmi Kadaba MBBS

Dr Kadaba has been a General Practitioner for over 25 years and has been practicing in the Northern Beaches for 20 years.
Dr Kadaba has an interest in Women’s and Children’s health, Diabetes, Chronic disease and Mental Health.
After graduating from the University of Madras in India, she completed her internship and residency years at Bendigo Base Hospital and Mount Park Hospital in Victoria.
When not at work she enjoys the opera, theatre and cooking.

Dr Fung Cheung MBBS FRACGP

Dr Cheung has been a General Practitioner in the Northern Beaches for over 20 years.
He has a special interest in Skin Lesions and Minor Skin Surgery.
Dr Cheung graduated from the University of Adelaide obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. He completed his internship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and was a resident at Westmead Hospital in Sydney.
Dr Cheung became a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1994.
When not at work he enjoys sport and travel.

Dr Robert Vial MBBS, BMedSc, FRACGP, FACNEM

Dr Vial has been a General Practitioner for over 20 years. He has provided medical care to the population of the Northern Beaches for 16 years.
Dr Vial graduated from the University of NSW with a Bachelor of Medicine a Bachelor of Surgery and a Bachelor of Medical Science.
He became a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2010.
Dr Vial has a special interest in Nutritional Medicine, Functional Gastroenterology, Mental Health, Menopause, Peri Menopause, Thyroid Disorders, SIBO, Microbiome and Nutrigenomics.
Outside of work he enjoys photography particularly of native birds and fauna, sunsets. Travelling and experiencing new cultures and local cuisines.

Dr Ravi Jayalath MBBS, FRACGP, SCHP, Paediatrics

Dr Jayalath has been a General Practitioner for over 20 years and has been treating patients in the Northern Beaches for 4 years.
His special interests include Respiratory Medicine, Skin cancer Surgery as well as Paediatrics.
Dr Jayalath graduated from the Colombo University, Sri Lanka and he did his post graduate studies in Sydney. Dr Jayalath worked at Royal North Shore Hospital for 7 years. He worked in rural Australia for 4 years and obtained his fellowship to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017.
Outside of work he enjoys cricket and reading.

Dr John Cooper MBBS

Dr Cooper has been a General Practitioner for over 25 years and has treated patients in the Northern Beaches for 18 years.
He is interested in all aspects of General Practice and in sports injuries.
Dr Cooper graduated from the University of Sydney obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. He completed his internship and residency at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
When not at work he provides Acute Emergency Care in third world countries.

Dr Greg Cesco   MBBS (Syd Uni) Diploma Pharmacy

Dr Greg Cesco has been a General Practitioner for over 35 years and has been providing medical care to patients in the Northern Beaches for over 20 years.
He enjoys all aspects of General Practice with a special interest in Paediatrics.
Dr Cesco graduated from the University of Sydney obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. He completed his internship at Auburn Hospital and his residency at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (Sydney) and Gosford Hospital.
Dr Cesco has also completed a Diploma in Pharmacy.
When not at work he enjoys boating.

Dr Charles Hayes MBBS (Syd) FRACGP DCH Radiation Licence (NSW Dept of Health)

Dr Hayes has been a General Practitioner for over 15 years and has treated patients in the Northern Beaches since 2014.
He has an interest in General Medicine and Mental Health.
Dr Hayes graduated with a medical degree (MBBS) from the University of Sydney and completed his internship and residency years at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (Camperdown).
He became a fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2002.
He also has undertaken haematology research for 3 years, Psychiatry Study and research for 10 years (MRANZCP).

Dr Paul Klemes MBBS

Dr Klemes has been a General Practitioner for over 20 years providing medical care to patients in the Northern Beaches for 17 years.
He is interested in all aspects of General Practice.
Dr Klemes graduated from the University of New South Wales obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). He completed his internship and residency years at Prince of Wales (Randwick) and Prince Henry Hospital (La Perouse)
Dr Klemes became a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1996.
He enjoys cycling, camping and hiking when not at work.
